Lend a Helping Paw – Three organizations that could use your help!
Second Chance Boxer Rescue
This is Snow. Her heartworms are so bad that she came to Second Chance Boxer Rescue in heart failure. She has had quiet a few ups and downs but is hopefully going to be fine. SCBR needs only $325 to meet the goal to help this beauty. Click on her picture to go to her fundraising page if you can help.
The mission of Second Chance Boxer Rescue (SCBR) is to rescue, rehab, and re-home dogs throughout Florida, (specifically boxers) that would be, otherwise euthanized.
“Second Chance” is not a second chance for dogs, because that would presume they had a first chance and failed. The majority of the dogs we rescue never had any chances, first, second, or otherwise. The name of our rescue refers to giving humans a second chance to provide a safe, healthy, and loving home and environment for our dogs, since most of these dogs come to us after they have been abused or neglected by their owners.
SCBR solely relies on volunteers to get the work done and no one receives compensation for their work. SCBR receives no funding from the government or the United Way. Our adoption fees and donations from other dog lovers cover our costs.
Please visit our ‘help SBCR‘ page to volunteer, adopt, or donate.
You can follow SCBR on their Facebook Page.

Fairy Tail Endings
Although we consider them family members, pets are often among the first casualties of a financial crisis. Pet parents already struggling to afford routine veterinary care, often feel forced to choose between surrender, euthanasia and neglect when faced with additional financial hardships or the escalating costs associated with senior and special-needs pets.
Many struggling pet owners have reached out for resource assistance to avoid these tragic outcomes, reflecting a deep desire to preserve this bond. Fairy Tail Endings has taken leadership in this call to action to address this growing need, serving people within our local community through the care of their cherished companion animals and providing a direct solution to avoid surrender for low-income pet owners..
We recognize that families value the emotional support a pet can provide especially during difficult economic times and believe our neighbors suffering the loss of job, income, home or social connections should not have to add the devastating loss of their best friend.
If you would like to help this wonderful organization that does so many amazing things please visit Fairy Tail Endings to learn more.
Fairy Tail Endings, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping financially struggling families in Sarasota & Manatee counties keep their pets and provide proper care through financial aid, product and service donations, education and outreach. Each of us concerned about animal welfare give what we can on a daily basis through donations and emotional support. If you can’t help right now, please share, sharing works! It can be overwhelming, but always remember that although we regret that we cannot help all animals, we make a tremendous difference to those we can.

Several years ago I adopted a nine year old boxer female named Tilly through Florida Boxer Rescue. I wanted to help this wonderful organization but realized I would be a “Foster Flunky,” keeping any boxer in search of a “furever” home, so I decided to help them through my art.
